We went hoping to get a coffee in the cafe. Sadly, the cafe wasn't open. However, we were invited to use a table for a rest, and to warm up (we were walking the Slate Trail in February). The welcome was so friendly that we will certainly be going back, when we can find the cafe open.

Had the place to ourselves as we were a group of 18 trekkers. It has everything you need with a good kitchen, clean rooms with linen and adequate bathrooms. Great location with easy access to trek routes.
Only negative is that car charging points are kept locked and you don't have access to this if you arrive after 5pm. This should be upgraded to proper car chargers with app controls that can be used for billing.

Beautifully comfortable and extremely well serviced accomodation, inside a vibrant and warm community.
The services they offer are spot on and the location couldn't be more spectacular, right on top of a stunning mountain range, with cinematic views of the local scenery. There is also a shop attached that sells everything anyone would need, so you won't have to go far to get stocked up.
Absolutely magical, thank you for having us ❤️

Our room was filthy: dirty floor, crumbs and hair on stained sheets that were not changed after previous visitors. My bed had a pillow with a towel on top left after someone slept like that. Don't open complimentary tea and coffee box or you will throw up. Not worth contacting anyone about it either - they don't reply.

Good, affordable, clean, spacious, family friendly, and located in a beautiful spot. Perfect for your visit to North Wales. The shared kitchen has enough plans and puts, but please carry your own condiments and spices, etc, if you are planning to cook.

We did not stay here, but it looks like a great little place for those looking for a youth hostel. It's a nice location with a lovely little cafe.

Lovely views, not a place to stay as a family, had two bad nights of others being loud and drinking and carrying on, no response from the people who own it.

This is a lovely conversion from a primary school into rooms, shop and cafe. The cafe is only open on the weekends and Mondays due to a lack of footfall. The location is stunning and gives easy access to walk the slate trails. Dangerous drops on the walks, so be careful with children and pets. Views are breathtaking. Highly recommended

Edit: they have now changed the electric car chargers to £6 per hour which is £0.86 pkwh. That is extortionate for low powered chargers, motorway superchargers are cheaper. charging more is fine over donations but that maths is not cool!
Good community centre/shop/bunkhouse/cafe! Has 4 7kw electric vehicle chargers which is very forward thinking compared to the local area (Including Caernarfon!), donation for the electric used which i paid fairly. Small but good and suitably stocked shop (even dog ice cream!) and the cafe/restaurant is great with very good quality food. The building is upkept very well and has a great view out onto the nantille. All the staff we met all had a smile and treated locals and far flung guests the same.

A great hostel! We are here over a weekend beginning of December. They are bunk beds with a double bed at the bottom in our room, also Ensuite wet room, great shower.
The kitchen area is good with indervidual cupboard with you room number so can keep separate, tv ,cooker, kettle, settee too.
Nice little shop and restaurant next door too!
Great views and so well located right next to some great walks. 3 pubs all around 8 to 10 mins drive away.
Very accommodating host, polite. Kitchen staff fantastic too.
Can't fault it.

We booked this place for a week and it wasn't the places fault we ended up leaving it was the other thoughtless people keeping my disabled daughter awake, we ended up telling the management and they came over to talk to them but they still didn't listen and carried on banging around. 24th December at 9pm at night we had enough the noise from the other people coming in till gone 12:30am where my oil girl is on high dose medication and kept her awake. Their needs to be things out into place where people don't check in at stupid o clock at night when you have a daughter and their is no consideration for her at all. We believe management spoken to these people numerous times but they failed to listen to him. If the noise of the doors was sorted and people didn't check in after 9pm at night at rather at 5pm would be easier we ended up leaving on Xmas day and wasn't due to leave for another 4 days but it was severely impacted by the people their not taking on board a disabled child needs her sleep but no people don't care 🥺 spoilt our holiday away over Xmas the staff have been amazing and giving us half a refund back for this I'm only giving it 3 stars on the fact staff are amazing and facilities but the other guests not so much

An amazing hostel! We were there over a weekend at the start of December. Ensuite rooms, great kitchen, a little shop and restaurant next door, too! Great views and so well located right next to some great walks. Very accommodating host as well. Can't fault it, loved it!

This was a a wonderful place to stay at! The host was incredible, giving advice on what’s nearby, making sure we knew the safety of climbing snowdon for sunrise. Has heated floors 🤩
There’s a cafe next to it that even offers vegan options. Just a fantastic place that’s not too expensive! 👍

Great to find this so close to the slate trail. Had tea and scones. Pleased to hear that it is opening over winter although shorter hours. Suggest you check ahead.

First time here. Wow. Staff really helpful. The building is very clean and modern. Super place to come walking. Very very quiet the only noise is the sheep.
